Beatrice Jackson Humphreys (1905-1991) was born in London, and during her life also lived in Paris and New York. She studied with Andre Lhote and at the Academie Colarossi in Paris. This painting of a Breton Church was exhibited at the Societe des Amis des Art d’Angers, probably in the 1930’s. It is in a good period frame.
